issey miyake, menswear, fall 2010

japanese designer issey miyake's background as a graphic designer is all too apparent in his wild and carazay new menswear collection that debuted in paris last week. the gorgeous, albeit over-the-top, engineered prints are simultaneously retro and futuristic. on one hand, 60's and 70's polyester three piece suits come to mind when feasting upon the psychedelic print. then again, men dressing in an unabashedly chic and uninhibited matter is also pretty thrilling and fashion-forward. truly an interesting choice for spring!
